~Shepherd's Mountain Market's September's Featured Website~ *Back In Tyme Primitives* *Business Name: Back In Tyme Primitives *Owner's Name: Donna Wilhelmi *Website Address: http://www.backintymeprimitives.com *What made you decide to begin and online website business? I always wanted to open up my own primitive shop but never could, so this is the next best thing. I have meet so many great people having my own business on line, and I enjoy every minute of it. *How long have you been “crafting” business? I have always enjoyed crafting since I was young. I loved Art in school and creating things. I couldn’t wait to see how they would turn out when they were finished. I also love making handmade primitive things. *Are you the sole owner of your business, or do you have help with your business? Yes, I am the sole owner of my business and my own boss…it’s great! *What do you enjoy the most about your business and “crafting”? I enjoy making unique creative things other prim lovers like myself would enjoy. I usually don’t sell or make anything that I would not like myself. When I bring my creations into work, my co-workers usually ask, who made that? Lol, I would I say me, and they would want one. So, my own business started from there. Now they are always drawing pictures for me and asking, “Do you think you can sew or make this for me?” *Do you specialize in a specific product or craft? I make my own blacken’ grungy taper candles. The candles are hand dipped in blacken’ wax and grungied up with my favorite mixture. These are a great seller and my customer’s just love them. I cannot keep enough of these in stock. My Halloween handmades and my prim handmades are a big seller also. *Do you have any advice for others who would like to create an online business? I would say go for it. Start off with perhaps a selling blog, similar to the ones out there now. Then if you enjoy this, start your own website. You’re not going to know unless you try it. It’s not only fun, but it’s been very rewarding. I have learned a lot about creating and maintaining a website. I also have a blog, I’m on Facebook, and I also sell on Ebay. So I keep pretty busy, even though this is only a fun hobby on the side. And, it’s also fun to make that little extra money. If you have the time and patience, go for it. It’s sooo much fun, and you meet so many nice people who are always willing to help out along the way. Be Sure to Visit Back In Tyme Primitives today! *September's Feature Website was Brandy Thomson who owns The Olde Country Crow. *July's Feature Website was Eryka Garbutt who owns Eryka's Place. *June's Feature Website was Wonda Simpson who owns High Country Crafts. *May's Feature Website was Robin Vezeau who owns Desert Moon Bath & Body. *April's Feature Website was Terri Browning who owns Old Glory Primitives. |
